About Us....

Rebel's Rest prides itself on being a small yet highly professional farm. Even though we are small, we do have big hearts & smiles.

Farm owner and manager since 1987, Marjy Chamberlin's life has been a close balance between horses and the military. Her multiple assignments in Germany provided a wealth of knowledge about German breeding, training, farm management and overall horse care, in addition to her training as a dressage rider. While there she also completed her Master's Degree in Systems Management.

During her assignments stateside, Marjy  continued her rider training, as well as furthering her education by attending several Cornell University Courses about Horses and Farm Management, and Breeding.

Rocky Phipps, our own Mr. Fix-it, hay-maker, and all around good guy, maintains the farm and all it's equipment.

Shirley Phipps, who resides in Virginia where she currently trains with FEI rider/trainer Lynn Jendrowski, remains an integral part of Rebel's Rest Farm operations and sales. We look forward to seeing her and her acquisition, Witzbold André in the show ring.

Dawn Fontaine works as assistant manager and beginning through intermediate dressage & hunter/jumper instructor. She too has had the privilege of living and riding in Germany for a total of six years. In addition to her duties at the barn, Dawn also started Dream Weaver Web Design - she has created and continues to maintain the Rebel's Rest website.

Our working student, exercise rider, and all-around barn help Danielle Farmer has been at Rebel's Rest for three years.  Now she is very busy taking Pre-Veterinary classes at Cornell University, but we look forward to her returning to us!
